Piper

Piper, Last Chance Dog Team

Name: Piper
Breed: Boxer/Terrier (Pittie?) X
Age: 4 months
Weight: 25 lbs
Fee's: Shots up to date
Status: Adopted

Piper came to us for re-homing after her mother and siblings were all killed by a car.  Piper was only 6 weeks old at the time, so had not been weaned.  Piper was taken in by a family with 2 older dogs, who mothered her and showed her the rules of the house, but Piper’s exuberance for life has become too much for these 2 elderly dogs to handle.

Piper is not a big dog – her mother was a very small purebred Boxer.  Piper is very affectionate with her humans and loves to be around other dogs.  Piper would be a great companion for a high energy, playful young dog.  We think that Piper would also do well in a home with no other dogs, if her human was her constant companion, getting her out into the world to socialize her.   Because Piper’s mother was not there to properly teach her the rules around food with her litter mates, Piper can be voracious with her food.  For this reason, we feel it best that Piper go to a family without small children.

Piper is as clever and as sweet as they come and she loves her structured training sessions.  Piper’s determination gives her a character all its own – this dog is adorable. We are looking for an owner who is familiar with strong breeds and is committed to taking Piper through our group training class to further socialize her and learn the leadership skills to help Piper thrive as the fun, playful dog that she is.

Piper’s adoption fee of $400 includes delivery to your home and a private training session with one of our trainers, follow up, and 8 group leadership/obedience classes.
