Bio: Carlie(F) and Taiko(M) are both very loyal dogs that have been together for the past 8 years. Their current owner is moving out of the country and is unable to take the two of them with her. Carlie and Taiko prefer a quieter environment and enjoy being in the presence of humans. Carlie is very enthusiastic, non-shedding, loyal dog. She is a healthy senior with food allergies but they are kept under control with their diet of Medi-Cal. Carlie is very routined and enjoys small leash walks. Carlie responded well to the obedience training. She is a bit of a nervous nelly but with some "outside" socialization with both humans and dogs, Carlie's nervousness would soon pass. Carlie walks well on leash and knows her sits, stays and downs. Taiko is a timid dog who can be a bit stubborn. Taiko enjoys small leash walks and would greatly benefit from getting into a more consistent walking schedule which would help him gain some more confidence. He too is a healthy senior who doesn't seem to show allot of enthusiasm for food. Taiko currently walks to the beat of his own drum but with some more exercise, "outside" socialization, leadership and giving affection at the right time, this timid little guy will settle very well into a new home. We feel Carlie and Taiko would do best if adopted together and would benefit from a structured environment with regular walks and socialization. They are great company to have around and would make fabulous house dogs for a quieter household.
